Sandy is a 5-year-old, Terrier x
Sandy was brought to The Mayhew in sad circumstances as her previous owner was very ill.
Sandy is very inquisitive and can't resist saying hello to visitors with a big sniff and a lick. She can be sensitive to loud noises so would prefer to live in a quite household She has excellent recall, likes other dogs and cats, and is a lively and friendly character
Sandy is Epileptic, and owing to this, will have to take tablets for the rest of her life. Although her new owners will have to pay for these tablets (approximately 20 - 40p a day), The Mayhew would be happy to re-home her on a permanent foster arrangement. Through this arrangement, we will cover vets' fees if Sandy is seen by one of our vets. Sandy's Epilepsy is under control providing she has her medication daily, the risks of her actually having a fit are extremely low.
Sandy is great with children of all ages. She is currently living with a family on foster who are happy to offer her a glowing reference
