Special needs cocker at VA shelter
I am a volunteer with the Clarke County Animal Shelter, writing on behalf of a special needs dog in need of rescue. This is a beautiful blonde, deaf, male cocker spaniel that was picked up in Clarke County, VA. I have a picture I can e-mail if you are interested. He is about 8-9 years old. He was very neglected, the hair on his ears so matted it had to be shaved off, his toenails so long they curled under. When examined by the vet, he was found to have several tumors around his anus, which the vet said are probably 50/50% chance of being malignant, but surgery in that area is unadviseable. Despite all he's been through, this handsome guy is very sweet and loving. However much time he has left, he deserves to spend it comfortably, in a loving home, not left outside without any shelter, as it looks like he has been. If you have any space for him, or know of anyone who might, please contact the Clarke County Animal Shelter, in Berryville, VA at: 225 Ramsburg Lane Berryville, VA 22611 Phone: (540) 955-5104 Fax : (540) 955-5104 Email: animalcontrol@co.clarke.va.us
